This vegan Seitan Steak is juicy and super smooth to make! you can integrate all the elements in a meals processor – so no kneading required! by including sparkling water and canned chickpeas to the mixture, our seitan is softer than most of the hard seitan cutlets you can generally buy in stores. It is going flawlessly with roasted potatoes and herb butter.

I’m genuinely in love with how these vegan Seitan Steaks turned out! I’ve been operating on the perfect recipe for years and that i suppose I’ve nailed it!
I’ve brushed the steaks with a simple herb butter and served them with roasted potatoes and BBQ sauce. This turned into the perfect combo!


ingredients for the Seitan Steak
  • half of tablespoon canola oil
  • half of huge white onion chopped
  • 1 garlic clove chopped
  • half teaspoon cumin seeds
  • half of teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/four cup cooked chickpeas
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/four cup glowing water
  • 3/4 cup critical wheat gluten

components for the Herb Butter spread
  • 1 tablespoon vegan butter
  • 1 tablespoon sparkling chives finely cut
  • 1 tablespoon clean parsley finely cut
  • 1 pinch salt

ingredients for the Roasted Potatoes
  • five medium-sized potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt and extra to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary


commands for the Roasted Potatoes
  1. Preheat the oven to 480°F/250°F.
  2. Peel (if important) and cut the potatoes into huge chunks.
  3. Toss them in olive oil, sprinkle with salt and dried rosemary.
  4. Bake them within the oven till golden and crispy.
