Bhindi ki Sabji / Okra recipe



Okra( cut into small cubes)- 6 cups
Onion( Cut lengthwise) - 2 cups or 1 medim onoin
Tomato:- 2 medium
Salt:- 1 1/2 tsp or 2 tsp (as per your taste)
Turmeric:- 1 tsp
Red Chilli powder:- 1/2 tsp
Mango powder or Aamchoor :- 1 tsp
Garam masala:- 1 tsp
Oil:- 4 tbsp (or as per your requirement)


Heat the oil in a pan ( preferably flat base kadayi ), then add onion and fry for about two minutes you don't need to brown the onions in this sabzi..fry them till they become translucent..and then add tomatoes and stir for a minute and then add Salt,Turmeric,Red chilli powder and again stir for 3 or 4 minutes..and then add okra/bhindi and mix everything stirring very lightly..then cover the pan and let it cook till it becomes soft and just before its done add Amchoor/mango powder and garam masala..Serve hot with Roti or plain partaha and Enjoy:)
